Theatre. Inside.

On the International Theatre Day true admirers of opera and ballet art will receive a great gift. On 27 March the opening of the exhibition "Theater. Inside" will take place. This exhibition is a reflection of individual stories, emotions and adventures, combined in a unique panorama, which illustrates the events that took place in the recent past. They will appear as bizarre pattern that connects the past, present and future. The main character of this project is theatre. The audience will see a series of  image boards and costumes of operas Aida and Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi, Love and Death by Polad Bülbüloğlu and Sonnets to music by Peter Warlock and Ralph Vaughan Williams and others.

Performances of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus, which were awarded high state awards, will be presented in a separate hall. There are operas The Grey Legend by Dmitry Smolsky and The Tsar’s Bride by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, ballet Vitaut by Vyacheslav Kuznetsov and others.

The authors of the ballet Anastasia by Belarusian composer Vyacheslav Kuznetsov, which will premiere next season, will reveal the mystery and visitors to the exhibition will see how the libretto is embodied in the work of theater artists.

Work with children (future generation of theatre audience) is an important part of the activity of the Belarusian Bolshoi. Therefore, a separate hall of the gallery will be dedicated to the children's repertoire. Our young viewers will be able to see costumes, props and colorful posters for Winnie the Pooh and Doctor Ouchithurts, Magic Music and The Little Tower Chamber, Cipollino and other performances.

The exhibition, organized by the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus and the "University of culture" gallery, will last until the middle of April.
