It has become a tradition that each season of the Belarusian Bolshoi opens with a premiere. And this year is no exception. On 8 September the premiere of Andrejs Žagars’ La traviata featured Elena Zolova as Violetta Valéry, Aleksey Mikutel as Alfredo, Stanislav Trifonov as Giorgio Germont, Ekaterina Mikhnovets as Flora, Denis Yantsevich as the Marchese, Andrey Selyutin as the Baron, Dmitry Trofimuk as the Doctor, Victor Mendelev as Gastone, Anna Gurieva as Annina.
On 10 September, the second premiere of Giuseppe Verdi’s immortal work starred Irina Kuchinskaya as Violetta, Alexander Mikhniuk as Alfredo, Vladimir Petrov as Germont, Ekaterina Mikhnovets as Flora, Denis Yantsevich as the Marchese, Andrey Selyutin as the Baron, Dmitry Trofimuk as the Doctor, Victor Mendelev as Gastone, Elena Tabolich as Annina.
Both the evenings were conducted by Maestro Andrey Galanov.
The chorus and orchestra of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus took part in the production.
