Dear friends,

Acceptance of documents for participation in the 5th Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition is completed. Thanks to everyone who has already applied for participation in our competition! We are very glad to see each of you among the competitors, because it is special anniversary edition for us. This year we are expecting more than 300 participants from Italy, Canada, USA, China, Korea, Finland, Romania, Greece, Germany, Turkey, Venezuela, Serbia, Sweden, Israel, Poland, Estonia, South Ossetia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus.

The Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition will take place from 14 to 19 December 2018! The competition is organized by The Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus.

The 5th Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition will be held in three rounds. The 1st and 2nd rounds will take place with piano accompaniment and the 3rd (final) round will be held with orchestral accompaniment.

In the final 3rd round, the competitors will sing a lead role in a scene from a classical or modern opera. The 3rd round will take place on the main stage.

Total prize money: US$ 28,000
Grand prize    US$ 10,000
First prize    US$ 8,000
Second prize    US$ 6,000
Third prize    US$ 4,000

Most promising competitors will be awarded special prizes from the jurors (engagements/contracts).

From July 2018 onwards, citizens of 74 countries do not need a Belarusian visa if their visit does not exceed 30 days and on condition that they travel by plane (Minsk National Airport, except for flights from/to Russia).
