Irina Kuchinskaya

Irina Kuchinskaya graduated in academic singing from the Mikhail Glinka Minsk Music College (class of O.I. Lukyanenok) in 2003 and in artistic studies from the Alexander Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University (class of Professor T.D. Smelkova) in 2009. In 2011, she received her master’s degree from the aforementioned university.

From 2003 to 2006, she was a member of the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers (Grayr Khanedanian’s class). In 2008 and 2009, she participated in masterclasses of the People’s Artist of Russia Elena Obraztsova.

In 2011, she joined the company of the Belarusian State Academic Musical Theatre, where her repertoire included Stasi in Die Csárdásfürstin by Emmerich Kálmán, Juliette in Der Graf von Luxemburg by Franz Lehár, Adele in Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss, Mabel Gibson in Die Zirkusprinzessin by Emmerich Kálmán.

In 2014, Irina Kuchinskaya joined the apprenticeship group of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus, being promoted to soloist of the opera company in 2016.

Her concert highlights include, among others, Gioachino Rossini's Petite messe solennelle with the State Chamber Chorus of the Republic of Belarus (2016 and 2019), programmes with the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus, projects with the Sonorus ensemble, Belarusian State Academy of Music, etc.

CONCERT TOUR

In 2008, Irina Kuchinskaya performed the role of Adina in Gaetano Donizetti’s L'elisir d'amore and Prilepa in The Queen of Spades by Pyotr Tchaikovsky at the Mikhailovsky Theatre St Petersburg.

In 2013, she participated in a Spanish tour of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus.

In 2018, she appeared in The Wedding by Igor Stravinsky as part of the company’s tour of France.
