The world of The Nutcracker came to life on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus thanks to a team of talented creators: choreographer, ballet master, author of the libretto Igor Kolb (director of ballet of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus, Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation); musical director Artem Makarov (artistic director of the theatre, People's Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan); designer Olga Melnik-Malakhova; lighting designer Irina Vtornikova (Honoured Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation); computer graphics and video designer Viktoria Zlotnikova.
The premiere featured Maryta Shybanava, Konstantin Belokhvostik, Anton Kravchenko, Mikhail Egorov, Maryna Vezhnavets, Dmitrii Uksusnikov, Denis Shpak, Varvara Lapina, Leu Kamkou, Vladimir Ruda, Yelyzaveta Musoryna, Apollinariya Kartavtseva, Artem Zadvornov, Kirill Laptenok, Aleksandra Chizhik, Ivan Kamyshov, Darya Auramenka, Stella Maria Huiss, Irina Karpenkova, Kirill Dunaev, Tatsiana Ulasen, Kiryl Zaleski, Maksim Filipau, Andrey Malashonok, orchestra, artists of the ballet company, the supernumerary company, children’s studio, and the choreographic gymnasium-college. Special thanks go to Maestro Artem Makarov for his contribution to the event.
