Andrei Valentii graduated in trumpet from the Lev Revutsky Chernigov Music College in 1992. He later received his degree in voice from the Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory, where he also completed a postgraduate course under the tutelage of the People’s Artist of Russia, Professor Georgy Seleznev.

He sharpened up his vocal skills with Vladimir Turets and Lyubov Kryzhanovskaya. He made his singing debut with the State Opera and Ballet Theatre of St. Petersburg Conservatory. In 2001 he took part in masterclasses of Vladimir Atlantov.

Since 2005, after his brilliant debut as Modest Mussorgsky in The Children of Rosenthal by Leonid Desyatnikov, he has been a guest soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia.

Andrei Valentii joined the opera company of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus in 2009.

CONCERT TOUR

Andrei Valentii has worked with a number of renowned conductors, including Alexander Vedernikov, Yuri Temirkanov, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Mstislav Rostropovich, Vladislav Chernushenko, Yuri Bashmet, Mikhail Pletnev, and others.

He has given recitals at the philharmonic halls of Moscow and St Petersburg, the State Kremlin Palace, and the RUSSIA State Central Concert Hall.

In 2002 Andrei Valentii appeared with the programme comprising Russian art songs at the Moscow International House of Music as part of a bass trio, with Boris Shtokolov and Eugene Nesterenko.

His discography includes a recording of popular romances and art songs with the Nikolai Osipov National Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments.

He has toured France, Germany, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, etc.
