The Bolshoi theatre for the first time in its history vosmidesyatitonnye celebrates her birthday in this way: literally throwing open the doors to all comers. 14 guides for four hours told the audience about the creative secrets of the theater, the intricacies of creating props, costumes and stage design for Opera and ballet productions, about the possibilities of stage complex and interesting pages long and eventful history of the team. The audience had the opportunity to observe how make-up artists, to see the process of installation of scenery for the play, to mingle with the theatrical creative workshops. In the Chamber hall the guests were welcomed by soloists of the Opera company in a program of excursions included mini-concerts from popular Opera classics, and in the foyer for the public played by musicians from Symphony orchestra artists. Also, were first exhibited rare archival photographs and posters, telling about the beginning of work of the Bolshoi theatre in 30-40-ies of XX century. As expected, guests were treated with delicious meal from partners theatre: confectioneries "Kommunarka", "Slodych", "Krasniy Mozyryanin". In the future it is planned that an open Day at the Bolshoi theatre of Belarus will become a tradition. According to General Director Vladimir gridiushko, the idea of the open day, like every new idea is a gamble, but over time it grows into a tradition.
