Akhmed Agadi in Rigoletto

 

The Honoured Artist of Russia, People's Artist of Tatarstan, winner of Russia’s Golden Mask Theatre Award, one of the most famous and popular tenors of the world, artistic and expressive Akhmed Agadi appears at prestigious opera venues of the world. The specialists note his technical and beautiful voice and high level of drama in his stage works.

Akhmed Agadi graduated from the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. Then he became a soloist of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre in Moscow, where he performed the roles of Bayan in Ruslan and Lyudmila, Lensky in Eugene Onegin, Mozart in Mozart and Salieri, Young Gypsy in Aleko, Don Antonio in Betrothal in a Monastery, Count Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore, Arlecchino in Pagliacci, Rodolfo in La bohème, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Alfred in Die Fledermaus and title role in Faust.

In 2005 he joined the Mariinsky opera company. His Repertoire at the Mariinsky Theatre include: Vaudémont in the concert version of Iolanta, Edgardo Ravenswood in Lucia di Lammermoor, Alfredo Germont in La traviata, Gabriele Adorno in the concert version of Simon Boccanegra, Don Alvaro in La forza del destino, Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto, Don Carlo in Don Carlo, Radames in Aida, Rodolfo in La bohème, Mario Cavaradossi in Tosca, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Calaf in Turandot, José in Carmen.

Also the singer performs the tenor roles in Beethoven’s Missa solemnis, Verdi’s Requiem, Mahler’s Eighth Symphony and Das Lied von der Erde and Rachmaninoff’s vocal-symphony poem The Bells. He performs at many prestigious opera houses. He has appeared in productions by the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, Amsterdam Opera, Royal Danish Opera, Budapest Opera, Opéra de Strasbourg, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

He is a guest soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus. Here he performed the lead roles in Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida, Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta, Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca and Turandot. Also he took part in gala concerts.

On 9 February the performance will feature People's Artist of Belarus Vladimir Petrov, Honoured Artists of the Republic of Belarus Aksana Yakushevich and Oleg Melnikov, Diana Trifonova, Yury Bolotko, winners of international competitions Natalia Akinina, Alexander Krasnodubsky, Dmitri Kapilov and Dzmitry Trafimuk. Viktor Ploskina will conduct.
