Pavel Valuzhin was born in Radoshkovichi, Belarus. In 2007, he graduated from Molodechno Music College. In 2013, he completed his vocal studies at the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, studying under Prof. Irina Bogacheva, followed by an assistantship programme at the Popov Academy of Choral Art in Moscow in 2017.
From 2013 to 2016, he was a member of the Young Artists Opera Programme of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, where he studied under Svetlana Nesterenko and Dmitri Vdovin.
Between 2016 and 2019, he was a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company.
In 2017, Pavel Valuzhin made his European debut at the Theater Basel (La bohème), followed by appearances at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Semperoper Dresden, Volksoper Vienna, Opéra de Toulon, and the Bregenz Festival, among others.
In 2018, he joined the ensemble of the Staatsoper Stuttgart.
In 2025, he made his Metropolitan Opera debut as the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto.
His roles performed internationally include the Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto), Alfredo (La traviata), Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Alméric (Iolanta), Werther (Werther), Rodolfo, Parpignol (La bohème), Aleko (Aleko), Kai (The Story of Kai and Gerda by Sergey Banevich), Faust (Mefistofele by Arrigo Boito), etc., as well as solo parts in cantatas and oratorios, and chamber pieces.
Pavel Valuzhin made his debut with the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus in 2025 as Rodolfo in La bohème. He joined the opera company of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus in February 2026.

The singer’s international career spans Russia, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Croatia, the Netherlands, Turkey, Switzerland, Argentina, and the USA.
His recent and upcoming engagements include Lensky in Eugene Onegin at the New National Theatre, Tokyo, and Count Vaudémont in Iolanta at the Israeli Opera.
