Olga Kazhgalieva is a graduate in musicology from the Mikhail Glinka Minsk State Musical College and in voice from the Belarusian State Academy of Music.
She worked as a news presenter for a number of popular radio stations, as well as a CTV anchor.
From 2002-22, she was an opera soloist with the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus (mezzo-soprano). Since 2008, she has emceed official events and international projects at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus, including concerts of the Yuri Bashmet International Festival, the Vladimir Spivakov International Festival, the Competizione dell'Opera (2012), the Minsk International Christmas Opera Forum (since 2010), the Minsk International Singing Competition (since 2012), projects “Evenings of the Bolshoi Theatre at the Radziwill Castle” in Nesvizh (since 2010) and “Ballet Summer at the Bolshoi” (since 2014), the Big New Year's Ball (since 2010).
She was the host of the official part of the Days of Belarusian Culture in Russia held on the Historical Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia (Moscow, 2016), as well as the Days of Belarusian Culture in China at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (Beijing, 2017). She compered recitals of numerous prominent contemporary artists, including José Carreras (Palace of the Republic, Minsk, 2018), Olga Peretyatko (2018), Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov (2019), Maria Gulegina (2020), Denis Matsuev (2021), and others.
She has frequently acted as a compère of official events at the Palace of Independence and the Palace of the Republic. In 2021, she was the host of the award ceremony of the National Theatre Prize of the Republic of Belarus. In October 2024, she compered the Opening Ceremony of the Days of the City of Minsk in St Petersburg, which took place on the New Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre before a performance of Vladimir Soltan’s King Stakh’s Wild Hunt by the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus.
In 2021, she received a commendation from the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus.
With the opera company, she has toured Estonia, Russia, and China.
