Stanislav Trifonov

Stanislav Trifonov graduated from the Mikhail Glinka Minsk Music College where he had studied under the Honoured Worker of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Аdam Murzich. In 1998, he graduated from Odessa State Conservatoire (class of the Honoured Artist of Ukraine Viktor Navrotsky), followed by the completion of the assistantship programme at the same conservatoire in 2001.

 

In 1997, he joined the opera company of Odessa National Opera and Ballet Theatre.  

 

He has been a soloist at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus since 2007.

 

He is prolific on concert and festival platforms. He has worked with numerous renowned conductors, including Peter Schurz, Will Crutchfield, Alexander Samoile, Vasyl Vasylenko, Igor Shavruk, Yarem Skibinsky, etc.

 

In 2023, Stanislav Trifonov received a commendation from the Head of Administration of the Belarusian President.

Stanislav Trifonov is a laureate of the 4th edition of the National Theatre Prize in the category “Best Male Role in a Performance of Opera” for his Grigory Gryaznoy in The Tsar’s Bride by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.


CONCERT TOUR

In 1997, he made his debut with the National Theatre Prague as Onegin.

He is a regular participant of the Feodor Chaliapin International Opera Festival (Russia).

He often collaborates with the Tatar National Opera in Kazan. In 2012, he appeared in its performance of Lucia di Lammermoor given at the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia as part of the Golden Mask Festival and later took part in the company’s Dutch tour. In 2022, his roles with the Tatar National Opera included Scarpia in Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca, Tonio in Ruggero Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, Grigory Gryaznoy in The Tsar’s Bride by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.

In 2017, Stanislav Trifonov appeared as Macbeth on the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre.  He performed the same role in the premiere at Kaunas State Musical Theatre in 2019 and later in 2022.

His other international engagements include the role of Scarpia (2016, 2018 and 2019), Escamillo in Georges Bizet’s Carmen (2018) with Samara Opera and Ballet Theatre; High Priest in Camille Saint-Saëns’s Samson et Dalila (2014), the Dutchman in Der fliegende Holländer by Richard Wagner (2022) with Sofia Opera and Ballet.

In October 2022, he performed the role of Ales Varona in King Stakh’s Wild Hunt, a guest performance of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus on the Historic Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia. 

He has toured Switzerland, Germany, the Czech Republic, the UK, Spain, the USA, Columbia, and the Netherlands.
