“Vivacious and handsome Don Pasquale”

 

A native of Mexico, Noé Colín performs at the largest theatres in Europe and Latin America. The singer received his musical education at the National University of Mexico, after which he continued to work on the development of his opera repertoire, and also entered the International Opera Studio at the Zurich Opera House. In 2005 he won the International Singing Competition Giovanni Pacini in Pescia (Italy).

 

His vocal and acting abilities allow the Mexican-born singer to portray the most versatile roles, ranging from serious to comical. That’s why his repertoire includes not only roles like Sr. Giorgio in I Puritani, Zuniga in Carmen, Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Falstaff, Timur in Turandot, Bartolo in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Don Alfonso in Cosi fan tutte, but also Pizarro in Fidelio, Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte and many others.

 

The singer became widely known performing the roles of Leporello in Mozart's Don Giovanni (Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Cuyos Theatre in Las Palmas, Czech National Theatre in Brno), Dr Dulcamara  in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore (Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Vienna Volksoper, Palacio de Bellas Artes in in Mexico City), Don Magnifico and Don Profondo in Rossini’s Cinderella (Zurich Opera, Teatre Principal  in Palma de Mallorca, Helsinki National Opera, Gothenburg Opera), Bartolo in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Music Festival in Chiemgau, Germany). His don Pasquale was also a success at the Vienna Volksoper, Linz Municipal Theatre and Opera House Wuppertal).

 

The many distinguished artists with whom the baritone singer already performed on stage include Placido Domingo, Carlo Cosutta, Verónica Villarroel, Luis Lima, Neil Shicoff, Bernd Weikl, Rolando Villazon and Ana Netrebko.

 

Noé Colin is a very sough-after singer in the concert sector as well . He regularly performs on international stages, where he sings concerts, masses, Lieder from Brahms, Mahler, Mozart, Beethoven, Händel, Bach and Verdi.
