Pathétique Memory Book is a powerful orchestral and choral sound, vivid vocal performances and an amazing choreographic drama.
On 2 April, Pathétique Memory Book was performed in Moscow on the Day of the Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia.
Just before evening, the general director of the theatre Catherine Doulova, principal conductor Artem Makarov, principal stage director Anna Motornaya and principal ballet master Igor Kolb talked with the Russian and Belarusian press, who were interested in everything from the idea of Pathétique Memory Book to personal family memories related to the theme of the Great Patriotic War.
The solemn part of the evening featured the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation, the Deputy Prime Minister for Belarus' activities within the framework of the Union State and relations with Russia Alexander Rogozhnik. He read out a congratulatory message from Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
The First Deputy Chairman of the State of the Russian Federation, the Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia Ivan Melnikov read out a congratulatory message from President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and congratulations from Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vladimir Volodin.

The musical score of the production consists of works by Belarusian composers created over the past 100 years (from 1924 to 2024), including the most important works dedicated to the Great Patriotic War by classics of Belarusian music Evgeny Tikotsky, Nikolai Aladov, Nikolai Churkin, Anatoly Bogatyrev, Heinrich Wagner, Lev Abeliovich, Isaac Luban, Vladimir Olovnikov, Igor Luchenok, Eugene Glebov, Dmitry Smolsky, Oleg Khodosko.
The production team of the Pathétique Memory Book include: the People’s Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan Artem Makarov (musical director), recipient of the Francysk Skaryna Medal Anna Motornaya (concept and libretto, director), the Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Kolb (choreography and staging), the People’s Artist of Belarus, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus Nina Lomanovich (chorus master), Lyubov Sidelnikova (designer).

On 2 April, the performance featured leading opera and ballet artists, as well as ballet, chorus, orchestra, supernumeraries, Children's Musical Theatre Studio and ballet school students.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the Standing Committee of the Union State with the participation of ROSCONCERT.
