Nadezhda Pavlova in the role of Marfa

‘Sensation in the world of opera,’ ‘The revelation and shock.... A bright, quivering and shining soprano with fabulous and easily taken top piano notes ...,’ ‘Exquisite musicality, emotion and dedication...,’ ‘A gentle and powerful voice of the supernova who erupted in Perm, fills the soul with unspeakable delight,’ all these words are about the magnificent singer Nadezhda Pavlova. Her performances evoke the enthusiastic words of music critics. And the audience agrees with them. This young soloist sings the lead roles in the large-scale opera premieres, works with world famous conductors and directors. In last season she became the winner of the Golden Mask National Theatre Award and Stroganov Award.

The residents of Minsk admire the singer for a long time. In 2015, her beautiful voice (soprano) and artistic talent earned her Grand Prize of the 2nd Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition and Audience Award. Then the singer was invited to perform in the gala concert of the 3rd Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition. In March 2017, the prima of Perm opera sang the role of Marfa on the Belarusian stage in the Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tsar's Bride. ‘It is a great honour and privilege to perform on the Belarusian stage,’ says Nadezhda, ‘Oh, and I love Minsk. Every time I come here, I have the feeling that your city is full of light! And there are so many bright, kind, responsive, open and hospitable people! And the way I am received at the Belarusian Bolshoi is just amazing: such warmth and sincerity always impress, and it is only natural to want to go back to where you are loved and accepted...”

On 23 November Nadezhda Pavlova will return to Minsk again. And again in the role of Marfa in the Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tsar's Bride.
