Lyubov Sidelnikova

Lyubov Sidelnikova was born in Minsk.  

She graduated from the Glebov Art School (teacher of painting and drawing) in 1987 and from the Belarusian Academy of Arts (theatrical scenic painting) in 1994.

In 2007-2010 Lyubov Sidelnikova worked as the principal designer of the Belarusian State Academic Musical Theatre.

Lyubov Sidelnikova is a member of the Belarusian Union of Designers, regular participant of Republican exhibitions (iconography, graphics and painting), participant of the Prague Quadrennial, etc.

Since 2019 she has been working at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus.
In 2023 she was promoted to chief set designer of the theatre.

Artistic awards:

-Laureate of the 12th Igor Ushakov Republican Competition of Theatre Designers for The Night Bell by Gaetano Donizetti (2012);

-Certificate of honour of the Administration of the Moscow district of Minsk for many years of fruitful work, high professionalism and significant contribution to the preservation and development of the Belarusian theatrical art (2017);

-Laureate of the 17th Igor Ushakov Republican Competition of Theatre Designers for the best stage setting of The Snow Queen by Gelsyat Shaidulova (2017);

-Gratitude of the Minsk City Council of Deputies for high professional skills, personal contribution to the aesthetic education of the population, popularization of classical choreographic art (2019).

In January-February 2012, Lyubov Sidelnikova’s personal exhibition "Stage Space" took place at the State Museum of the History of Theatrical and Musical Culture of the Republic of Belarus. The exhibition included set designs, models and costumes created by Lyubov Sidelnikova in 1995-2011.
