Nina Lomanovich graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Music where she had studied under the People’s Artist of Belarus, Associate Prof. Aleksey Kogadeev. She joined the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus as chorus master in 1976, and was promoted to principal chorus master in 1993.

Nina Lomanovich’s professionalism and mastery ensured the high artistic level of the chorus artists’ performance of pieces characterized by the complexity of tasks and the large scale of roles: Boris Godunov and Khovanshchina by Modest Mussorgsky, Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi, Turandot by Giacomo Puccini, Prince Igor by Alexander Borodin, Pietro Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana, Dmitry Shostakovich’s Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk (Katerina Izmailova), Igor Stravinsky’s Oedipus the King, Gioachino Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia, The Grey Legend by Dmitry Smolsky, Die Zauberflöte by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as well as Requiem by Giuseppe Verdi, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johannes Brahms and many others.

Lomanovich’s outstanding work was noticed and encouraged by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the administration of the theatre. She received a Special Prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus to eminent figures of culture and art in the nomination ‘Music’ in 1998. For the contribution to the development of the culture of Belarus she received an Order of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus. The title of the Honoured Art Worker of the Republic of Belarus was conferred on her in 1999.

In 2010, the honorary title of the People’s Artist of Belarus was conferred on her for professionalism, considerable achievements and services to culture by decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No.474 of 8 September 2010.

In 2017,  she was awarded the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus for considerable creative accomplishments in the development of musical art, promotion of spiritual values and significant personal contribution to the production of Dmitry Smolsky's opera The Grey Legend  based on the novel by Vladimir Korotkevich.
