New Year's Greetings

Dear friends!

I cordially congratulate you on the magical winter holidays New Year and Merry Christmas! I wish they bring love, happiness, prosperity, success, joy, peace and tranquility into your life!

Let the music be your faithful companion on these wonderful Christmas days! It is no coincidence that in December, summing up the year and aiming to please you with new impressions, we hold the Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition. The participants with beautiful voices from the most different corners of our planet visited us this year. The Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus brought together artists, musicians, and impresarios from 27 countries! Singing competition and Minsk International Christmas Opera Forum, which was held for the eighth time, proved the fact that true art has no boundaries.

In 2018 we will continue to delight and fascinate our audience. You will enjoy not only the undisputed talent of Belarusian artists, but the great abilities of the world stars of opera and ballet. On 13 January, on the night of Old New Year, the theater traditionally invites you to the Big New Year’s Ball at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus. In February, within the festival Vladimir Spivakov invites... , the National Ballet of Marseille will appear on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre. International creative production teams have already started work on the masterpieces of the great Italian composer Giacomo Puccini: in late February we will see the new version of Tosca directed by Mikhail Pandzhavidze and Gianluca Marciano and in April - La bohème directed by Alexander Titel and Victor Ploskina. In May our theatre will solemnly celebrate its 85th anniversary. In summer within the creative project Ballet Summer at the Bolshoi our audience is waiting to meet the stars, who with their talent and skill conquer the stages all over the world. And of course, in June the brilliant artists of the Bolshoi will come again to Nesvizh to delight our audience with under the arches of the Radziwill’s family ancient castle. We are in constant motion and creative pursuit. And all this, of course, for you, our dear audience!
