GALA CONCERT

 

On 6 March Gala concert with the participation of the stars of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus and finalists of The Big Opera will take place on our stage.

The Big Opera attracted great interest of the audience and became one of the most successful projects of the Russia-Kultura TV Channel. Due to this project a lot of opera stars appeared. One of the secrets of project’s success is effective combination of the elements of a show and an academic concert, which undoubtedly attracts the audience, including both longtime admirers of the opera and ‘newcomers’.

On 6 March participants of The Big Opera Polina Shamaeva (winner, Russia), Margarita Levchuk (finalist, Belarus) and Vladimir Dmitruk (finalist, Belarus) will perform on the stage of the Belarusian Bolshoi.

Polina Shamaeva is a soloist of the Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre of Moscow and Hungarian State Opera House. The singer performs in Russia, Greece, Japan and Hungary. Her repertoire includes mezzo-soprano roles in more than 30 cantatas and oratories. Polina works with many prominent conductors such as Popov, Spivakov, Pletnyov and some others.

Margarita Levchuk is a soloist of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus and Classics Music House. She takes part in concerts, opera performances and festivals in Belarus, Russia, Austria, Germany, Lithuania, Italy, Poland and Georgia. The singer works with a number of ensembles and orchestras, including Cantabile, Partita, Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, Belarusian State Academic Symphony Orchestra, Belteleradiocompany Symphonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of Brest Theatre and others.

Vladimir Dmitruk is a soloist of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre. He is winner of international singing competitions in Russia, Latvia and Italy. He is a member of the LA Opera's Domingo-Thornton Young Artist Program and soloist of the Theater an der Wien Young Ensemble. His repertoire includes the leading roles in Iolanta by P.Tchaikovsky, La traviatа by G. Verdi, Lucia di Lammermoor by G. Donizetti, Rinaldo by G.F. Handel, La straniera by V. Bellini, Der Rosenkavalier by R. Strauss, L'heure espagnole by M. Ravel, The Prodigal Son by B. Britten, Eugene Onegin by P. Tchaikovsky.

The leading opera and ballet soloists of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus will also appear in the concert.

The conductor will be the recipient of the Francysk Skaryna Medal Vyacheslav Chernukho-Volich.
