Mykhailo Malafii in the role of Duke of Mantua

The Ukrainian tenor Mykhailo Malafii was one of the discoveries of the 2nd Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition. The jury highly praised his skills and unanimously awarded the young performer the 1st prize. By the way, he had many successful performances at various singing competitions. The enthusiastic audience was charmed by his sincerity and talent and awarded him the audience prize. And due to his performance of the leading tenor roles in Un ballo in masсhera, La Traviata, Eugene Onegin and Rigoletto, he became one of the main favorites of the Minsk audience. Last season Mykhailo had been among the guest soloists of the opera company of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus.

There are performances on the best venues of Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, Slovakia, Bulgaria (he performed the role of Alfredo in the new production of La traviata by Giuseppe Verdi in the Sofia Opera and Ballet), Serbia, France, Austria in the track record of the young singer.

On the 10 March the Ukrainian tenor will perform the role of the dissolute villain Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto by Giuseppe Verdi. Verdi’s drama will feature Vladimir Gromov as Rigoletto, Tatyana Gavrilova as Gilda, Oleg Melnikov as Sparafucile, Kriskentia Stasenko as Maddalena, Dmitry Kapilov as Count Monterone. Viktor Ploskina will conduct.
