That's How You Get to the Stars

The non-profit charitable organization from Liechtenstein SIAA Foundation is vested with such self-explanatory name for a reason. ‘Sic itur ad astra’ (‘That's how you get to the stars’)-this popular expression has become not only the name, but also the motto of the foundation, denoting both the main directions and objectives of its activities, and its powerful creative potential. Thanks to SIAA many young artists got great opportunities for their artistic start, having conquered with their skills the audiences of the cultural capitals of the world.

Selecting the best musicians with outstanding vocal skills and interested in creating an international career, SIAA Foundation has been supporting young singers since 2006. They appoint monthly scholarships, arrange international master classes and seminars and organize concerts with famous conductors.

Thus, traditionally annual concerts featuring laureates of international competitions, SIAA Foundation scholarship recipients, take place at the largest concert halls of Europe (Deutsche Oper Berlin (2015), Mozarthaus Vienna (2016), Grand Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory (2017), Latvian National Opera (2017), etc.)

This year, the foundation scholarship recipients -eight young, promising and amazingly talented vocalists-will appear on the Belarusian stage for the first time. The concert ‘Young Stars of World Opera’, which will be held on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus on 2 March, will delight the audience with a diverse palette of opera timbres - from deep baritone to light soprano, including a rare and therefore magnetic countertenor. The programme includes famous arias from operas of the European composers from the Baroque period to the beginning of the 20th century: Antonio Vivaldi, Wolfgang Mozart, Georges Bizet, Antonín Dvořák, Gaetano Donizetti, Vincenzo Bellini, Jacques Offenbach, Johann Strauss, Francesco Cilea.

The Honoured Artist of Ukraine Viktor Ploskina will conduct.
