The Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus prepared a great gift for the audience — Anastasia Moskvina and Oksana Volkova’s concert —the concert of some of the most brilliant voices not only in our country, but also in the world.

The Honoured Artist of the Republic of Belarus mezzo-soprano Oksana Volkova shines in performances on the largest stages of the world: at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and Metropolitan Opera in New York, Teatro alla Scala in Milan and Royal Opera House in London, Teatro Massimo in Palermo and Opéra de Nice, Teatro di San Carlo in Naples and Salzburg Opera in Austria, etc.

The People's Artist of Belarus, soprano of rare beauty and unique timbre Anastasia Moskvina won the audience during the tour of the Belarusian Bolshoi in Thailand, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Great Britain, Spain, the Netherlands, Azerbaijan. In 2010 she made her debut with the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia as Rosalinde in the premiere of Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus. In this theatre she performed in The Snow Maiden, The Cherry Orchard.  She also performed in Oberon at the Pyotr Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow. With the Russian National Orchestra Anastasia performed the title role in Iolanta by Pyotr Tchaikovsky on the opening ceremony of the Russian-Japanese Cross Year.

Oksana Volkova told about the concept of the concert: ‘Belcanto is not only a style of music, but also, in translation from Italian, it means “beautiful singing”. That's why we decided to use this bright and attractive Italian word as the title of the concert. We got this idea Olga Peretyatko’s recital during the Christmas Opera Forum in our theatre. Anastasia and I liked the format, mood and performance of the concert so much that we decided it would be good to do something like this together. Two singers rarely stand on the same stage in a solo project. We decided to take a chance and chose the works, which rarely performed on our stage. Arias from these operas are not included in the repertoire of our theater. We had to order and write music scores for several works specially for this evening. The programme will include arias and duets of Italian and French composers. The principal guest conductor of the Belarusian Bolshoi maestro Gianluca Marcianò will conduct this evening.’
