On 18 October 2019 within the project "Autographs and images" the unique evening in memory of the famous ballerina Maya Plisetskaya will take place at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus. The People's Artist of Russia Andris Liepa is the director of this project.
"Autographs and images" is a series of concerts dedicated to such legends of ballet art as Rudolf Nureyev, Maya Plisetskaya, Vaslav Nijinsky, Maris Liepa. These concerts are successfully held on various venues, including the stage of the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow.
The stars of the world ballet will gather to honour the memory of the great Maya Plisetskaya. The programme will feature Jacopo Tissi and Anna Nikulina (Bolshoi theatre of Russia), Danila Korsuntsev and Yulia Makhalina (Mariinsky Theatre), Young Gyu Choi (Dutch National Opera & Ballet), Diana Kosyreva (Hungarian National Ballet) and others.
The ballet stars will appear in ballet images that have become the hallmark of Maya Plisetskaya. We will see scenes from the performances, in which the artistry and technical skills of the legendary ballerina were especially vivid. The highlights from the ballets of the Bolshoi Theatre of the USSR classical repertoire will be performed with masterpieces of modern choreography and routines created specifically for the great Maya. The rare documentary footage about the life and work of the ballerina will be shown during the concert.
