Stars of Our Theatre in Moscow

We have already performed similar programmes at our embassy in Moscow, but this one will surely be special. After all, this evening will be directed by the prima donna of the Belarusian opera Oksana Volkova. The honoured artist of the Republic of Belarus performed on the best opera venues, among which National Opera of Latvia and China, Covent Garden, Teatro colón in Buenos Aires, Opéra de la Bastille, Salzburg Festival, Hamburg State Opera, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, Metropolotan Opera in New York, Teatro alla Scala in Milan. And at the beginning of this season, she took on the role of the director of the opera (directed Le Villi. Fatum by Giacomo Puccini). As a director, she has already made several concerts, including the programme “Recordare”, where also performed winner of the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Nadine Koutcher and winner of the Plácido Domingo’s World Opera Competition Operalia Pavel Petrov.

On 4 March the concert will be filled with the joy of the holiday. This evening perhaps some of the best artists of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus will perform on the stage. People will hear Neapolitan songs, arias and duets from their favorite Puccini’s and Bizet’s operas. And our principals will give a lot of emotions, performing choreographic variations, touching duets, lively dances from Khachaturian’s Spartacus, Pugni’s La Esmeralda, Minkus’ Don Quixote, Gavrilin Anyuta, Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker. The names of these artists are known not only in Belarus, but also in other countries, they have repeatedly become winners of prestigious international competitions. On 4 March, the concert will feature opera soloists Oksana Volkova, Pavel Petrov, Yuri Gorodetsky, Stanislav Trifonov, Alexander Mikhniuk, Maria Galkina, as well as ballet dancers Irina Eromkina, Alexandra Chizhik, Konstantin Geronik, Igor Onoshko, Valeria Grudina.

The artists who will participate in the concert on the evening of 4 March are known and loved by the audience in Russia. So, Oksana Volkova has been a guest soloist of the Moscow Bolshoi Theatre since 2010, and this season in December, she already appeared on the Historical Stage in her signature role of Carmen. We are sure that in the television project “The Big Opera 2017” not only Belarusians voted for the Belarusian tenor Yuri Gorodetsky, because he became a finalist of this popular competition. Stanislav Trifonov is always welcomed in the Kazan and Samara Opera, he has long been an integral part of these professional companies. Maria Galkina (a student of the legendary Irina Bogacheva) graduated from the Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory. In 2019, it was impossible to buy an extra ticket for the concert of Asmik Grigorian and Pavel Petrov, which was successfully held at the Moscow Conservatory. The audience is always delighted with the Belarusian ballet dancers on any stage, our leading soloists also received a standing ovation at the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia. We have no doubt that this beautiful evening on 4 March will not be an exception.
