October: Debuts

When the artist appears in a particular role for the first time, he or she brings something new to the performance – thanks to his psychophysics, his understanding of the role… And it's always a gift for viewers who can discover something for themselves, even if they watched this production more than once. In October we will see several interesting debuts in operas and ballets of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus.

On 6 October, the legend of Belarusian Joan of Arc Anastasia Slutskaya to Vyacheslav Kuznetsov’s wonderful music will come to life again on our stage. The ballet was staged by the People's Artist of Belarus Yury Trayan. Even Capitaine will perform the role of Simeon Slutsky for the first time. October will be a very busy month for the Belarusian Frenchman: already on the 17th, Even will appear in the role of a Pilot in Alexandra Tikhomirova's production Le Petit Prince to the music by Eugene Glebov. You can see the fairy tale about the boy with golden hair on Sunday (on 17 October) in the morning (11:00) and in the evening (18:00).

On 10 October, Elena Salo and Andrey Klipo will make their debut in the fabulous opera The Little Tower Chamber. And as we all know very well, it is sometimes much more difficult to work in the performances for children. After all, a child does not forgive insincerity.

In mid-September, the soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus Dzianis Yantsevich (as a guest artist) took part in La bohème, staged by German director Philipp Himmelmann on the stage of the Perm Opera. The Belarusian baritone performed the role of Schaunard. Our audience has repeatedly applauded the artist when he appeared in this role in our production directed by Alexander Titel. But on 14 October, Dzianis will perform the role of Marcello in Giacomo Puccini’s opera for the first time.
