Let There be Ball!

On 13 January the Big New Year’s Ball took place at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus.

From 19:00 to midnight, you will find: A solemn (staged) ball and the programme "Everybody Dance!", dance workshops during the evening in the foyer of the theatre, choral karaoke and karaoke with a star, concerts in the Chamber Hall.
Rehearsals will start at the theatre on 18 November (Mon), at 19:00. Traditionally, you can attend these classes (become a participant in the mandatory dance programme) by purchasing a ticket to the ball. Tickets are already on sale! You can buy them ONLY at the box office of the theatre! Price: 250 BYN.

In 2025, the Old New Year's Ball will be held at the Bolshoi for the 16th time. We invite the audience to come to... Cinderella’s ball. This is exactly the theme of the event defined by the directors: conductor Vitali Hryshchanka, director Natalia Baranovskaya, choreographer Yuliya Dziatko, designer Ekaterina Bulgakova.

Since its inception, our Old New Year's Ball has gained its own traditions. The best known of them is dress code: ladies appear in floor-length ball gowns, gentlemen appear in tailcoats, tuxedos or beautiful elegant suites. If you would like to participate in solemnly opening of the Ball in a formal polonaise, you should visit the rehearsals (the purchased ticket will grant you the right to participate in rehearsals). And then absolutely all guests can take part in the dance programme following the first dance!
