On 18 March, Ivan Gyngazov will perform the leading role of Herman in Tchaikovsky's mystical drama The Queen of Spades at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus.
The winner of the BraVo and Onegin National Opera Awards, guest soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia (Moscow) and the Mariinsky Theatre (St Petersburg), soloist of Helikon-Opera Ivan Gyngazov will perform in Minsk again! The Belarusian audience has not yet heard the opera singer in the role of Herman. But they fell in love with the artist in the roles of Calaf in Puccini’s Turandot, Samson in Saint-Saens’ Samson et Dalila, Radames in Verdi’s Aida...
Ivan Gyngazov performed at the Semperoper Dresden, Alexandrinsky Theatre, Musikverein Vienna, Bolshoi Theatre of Uzbekistan, Moscow Philharmonic, Mikhailovsky Theatre, Bastille Opera in Paris, Sydney Opera, National Theatre of San Carlos, Samara Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, Kazan Opera. The tenor has worked with such conductors as Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Fedoseev, Placido Domingo, Antonio Pirolli and others.
Ivan Gyngazov was born in Novosibirsk. He graduated from the Mikhail Glinka Novosibirsk State Conservatory and then performed at the Novosibirsk and Yekaterinburg Opera and Ballet Theatres.
In 2017, he made his debut with Helikon Opera in Moscow as Manrico in Il trovatore and soon after became a soloist of the company.
He made his debut as Sadko at the Bolshoi Theatre in 2020, he performed the role Andrey Morozov in The Oprichnik at the Mikhailovsky Theatre and Manrico at the Rouen Normandy Opera House in 2021, Calaf at the Sydney Opera in 2022, Manrico at the Lisbon National Theatre San Carlos in 2023.
In December 2024–January 2025, Ivan Gyngazov prepares to appear as Jose in Bizet’s Carmen at the Berlin Staatsoper.
