A native of Minsk, Yury Kavaliou graduated from the Belarusian State Choreographic College.
Kavaliou joined the ballet company of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus in 2003.
In 2023, he received a commendation from the prime minister of the Republic of Belarus.
