Andrei Bariev was born in Togliatti, Russia.

He received his degree from the Boris Eifman Dance Academy in 2021 and after graduation joined the Mikhailovsky Theatre St Petersburg.

In 2023, he joined the ballet company of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus. In 2024, he was promoted to principal dancer.
