People’s Artist of Belarus (1975)

Lyudmila was born in Minsk. She’s a graduate of the Belarusian State Choreographic School where she had studied under Nina Mlodzinskaya and Irina Savelieva.

Since 1966 she was a ballet dancer of the State Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the BSSR. Solveig in the ballet Peer Gynt became her first major part (1967). Work on the productions of Romeo and Juliet (1970) and Tristan and Isolde (1971) gave birth to her brilliant artistic duet with Yury Trayan.

In 1970 she trained under Natalia Dudinskaya at the Kirov Opera and Ballet Theatre in St Petersburg.

In 1987 she graduated from Minsk Institute of Culture (choreography faculty).

Since 1997 she has been a teacher and répétiteur of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus.

REPERTOIRE

From 1969 to 1988 she performed leading parts in the ballets After the Ball, Swan Lake, Spartacus, Raymonda, The Fountain of Bakhchisarai, Don Quixote, The Sleeping Beauty, La Sylphide, Giselle, Chopiniana, Paquita, Flower Festival in Genzano, etc. She was the first to perform the parts of Carmen, Eve, Nele, Phrygia, Masha, and the Beloved in Carmen Suite, The Creation of the World, Till Eulenspiegel, Spartacus, The Nutcracker, Carmina Burana respectively, staged by Valentin Elizariev.


CONCERT TOUR

She has toured Turkey, Hungary, Finland, Poland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, Mongolia, Romania, India, Singapore, Cyprus and other countries individually and with the company.
