Ballet Summer at the Bolshoi
The Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus invites admirers and connoisseurs of ballet art to spend six unforgettable evenings accompanied by the world ballet stars and to see the best performances of the Belarusian Bolshoi Theatre and The Saint-Petersburg State Academic Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre. Ballet Summer at the Bolshoi, from 17 to 24 June.
Highlight of the season
Music will sound in Nesvizh from 26 to 28 June again. Opera and ballet festival Evenings of the Bolshoi Theatre at the Radziwill Castle will take place here for the sixth time.
Birthday on a grand scale
About three thousand guests visited the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus on 25 May. Exactly that many admirers of opera and ballet art came to congratulate the staff on Theatre’s birthday and to take part in free excursions organized on the occasion of the holiday.
Congratulations on the high state prizes and titles!
Yury Kovalev and Stanislav Trifonov were honoured with the title Honoured Artist of the Republic of Belarus. Conductor Andrey Galanov and chorus manager Lilia Karlovich received the Francysk Skaryna medals.
National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus took part in the international project #empty together with the Belarusian Instagram Community on 30 April.
Musical treasury of the Corpus Christi Church in Nesvizh
The Chorus of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus directed by Nina Lomanovich will represent the new programme composed of the pieces by Belarusian composers of the 19-20th centuries on 26 June at the Corpus Christi Church in Nesvizh under the auspices of the annual Evenings of the Bolshoi Theatre at the Radziwill Castle. The main intrigue, as well as the leitmotiv of the concert will be pieces by Edward Girdo, an organist and chorus director from Nesvizh, composer and professor, who was engaged at the Corpus Christ Church in the interwar period of the previous century. For the first time during the last 70 years the best pieces by this musician will resound at the concert performance.

70 years have already passed since the Victory. Our beautiful Belarus and Minsk have been renewed. The Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus is the most modern and beautiful not only in the country, but far beyond its borders. Our holy duty is to remember those who paid with life for the peace and approximated the Victory by his art.
