Iosif Langbard. 135’s anniversary
In the 1930s he was one of the ten most influential architects of Leningrad, though his name is barely known in St. Petersburg today. The Professor of the Academy of Arts, Honored art worker of the Byelorussian SSR, built very few in the city where he lived and worked. His works including the Government House, the Bolshoi Theatre’s of Belarus building, the Central House of Officers, the main building of the Academy of Sciences are the architectural hallmarks of Minsk. These buildings created in the 1930s, survived the war and are still very impressive just as the fate of their author.

They gloriously gleamed on the firmament of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus. Their names are the part of the Golden Fund of the Belarusian national culture. Nicholai Vorvulev would be 100. Sophia Drucker 110.
