"Evenings of the Bolshoi Theatre-2018" started with the concert programme “Belarusian Romanticism”. On 22 June at the Church of Corpus Domini works by Belarusian composers, whose names have become synonymous with the Romantic era, were performed.

On 23 June the concert programme “Four Centuries of Belarusian Vocal Music” took place at the Theatre Hall of the Radziwill Castle. The concert featured opera soloists of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus Yuri Gorodetsky (tenor) and Ilya Silchukov (baritone). They performed solo vocal works. It was like taking a walk through the pages of the national music history from the 17th to 20th centuries. Diana Morshneva and Polina Zadreiko played the piano. The host was the Honoured Artist of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Skorobogatov.

Also at the Theatre Hall of the Radziwill Castle the admirers of the Russian Romantic Song could see the unique concert programme “Evening of Sergey Rachmaninov’s Art Songs”. Our opera soloist Ekaterina Golovleva performed the real composer’s “hits”. The piano part was performed by Elena Olimpieva.

On a Saturday night Giuseppe Verdi’s La traviata took place on the main stage. The leading roles were performed by Irina Kuchinskaya, Alexander Mikhniuk and Stanislav Trifonov. Maestro Andrei Galanov conducted.
