The premiere of the 87th season will open Minsk International Opera Forum 2019. The Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus will present the new version of Alexander Borodin's epic Prince Igor directed by Galina Galkovskaya and conducted by Alexander Anissimov. On 12 December the lead male roles will be performed by the Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation, "best baritone of the Bolshoi Theatre", "owner of the immense voice" Sergey Murzaev (Prince Igor) and the grand prize winner of the 4th Minsk International Singing Competition Sargis Bazhbeuk-Melikyan (Konchak).

 


On 14 December the National Opera of Ukraine will perform on our stage. Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia staged by Anatoliy Solovianenko (director) and Mykola Diadiura (musical director) is the premiere of the last season of the Ukrainian National Opera. Figaro on a scooter, modern costumes and scenery, music and all events will be presented outside of space and time. The performance will feature the soloists, chorus and orchestra of the National Opera of Ukraine. Alla Kulbaba will conduct.



On 15 December the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus invites you to uncover the secrets of the deadly Princess in Puccini Turandot. Thomas Paul (Austria) will perform the role of Calaf. He is a graduate of the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz, University of Music in Vienna and University of Music and Dramatic Arts Mozarteum Salzburg. He performed leading tenor roles at the Linz Musical Theater, L'opera de Nice and Dortmund Opera House. Claudia Kang (Korea) will perform the role of Liu. She has performed at the major opera houses of France: Théâtre du Châtelet Paris, Opera de Marseille, Opéra national de Montpellier, Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse. Maestro Aleh Lessoun will conduct



On 17 December the fatal Bizet’s Carmen will appear on the stage of the theatre. One of the leading tenors of the United States Adam Digel (USA) will perform the role of Jose and soloist of the Mikhailovsky Theatre and Latvian National Opera Janis Apinis (Latvia) will appear as Escamillo. Andrei Galanov will conduct.

 

 


On 18 December the gala concert will gather the best performers from eleven countries on one stage. The programme will feature Nadine Koutcher, Angelos Samartsis (Greece), Veronica Brook (Israel), Vincenzo Costanzo (Italy), Adam Digel (USA), Janis Apinis (Latvia), Ljubica Vraneš (Serbia), Helen Lepalaan (Estonia), Agnieszka Rehlis (Poland), Ric Furman (USA), Nana Dzidziguri (Georgia), Ivo Stanchev (Bulgaria), Anna Bondarenko (Ukraine), Dmitry Garbovsky (Ukraine). Gianluca Marcianò will conduct.
