We congratulate Dmitry Shabetya and wish him further success in his artistic career!

The International Singing Competition Competizione dell' Opera was held for the 25th time.  And this year, the competition took place on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia for the third time. 120 singers came to Moscow to participate in the first semi-final. The Belarusian tenor Dmitry Shabetya became the finalist among 12 best singers. A jury of 21 specialists (impresarios, singers and conductors) appreciated professional skills of the participants.

The Competizione dell' Opera is one of the largest singing competitions in the world and it is the only one, where participants perform exclusively Italian opera repertoire in all its diversity: from early music to music of the 20th century.

The contest begins its history in 1996. Hans-Joachim Frey became the director of the competition. Since 2001, the Competizione dell' Opera has been held in Dresden. In 2011 it went beyond Germany for the first time and the first country, where it was held, became Russia (New Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre).

In 2012, the semi-final and final of the Competizione dell' Opera took place in Belarus as part of the 3rd Minsk International Christmas Opera Forum.
