The Belarusian audience cannot but remember Saltanat Akhmetova. She participated in the Minsk International Christmas Competition (as a probie of the Astana Opera company). She performed on the stage of the Belgorod State Philharmonic Society; as the winner of the TV project of the Russia Culture channel "Big Opera", she helped the Belarusian tenor Yuri Gorodetski.
On 10 November, the winner of numerous international singing competitions in Italy, Germany, Russia, the soloist of the Astana Opera Saltanat Akhmetova will appear at the Bolshoi for the first time. She will perform this most complicated role of the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte.
After graduating from the Kazakh National Academy of Music, Saltanat completed an apprenticeship in Italy – at the Accademia Lirica Osimo. She participated in master classes of famous conductors, directors, opera soloists: Vincenzo de Vivo, Sergio Segalini, Alberto Zedda, Gianni Tangucci, Cristina Muti, Raina Kabaivanska, Lella Cuberli, etc.
Her repertoire includes: Musetta in Puccini’s La bohème, Olympia, Antonia and Giulietta in Offenbach’s Les contes d'Hoffmann, the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Rosina in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Micaëla in Bizet’s Carmen, etc.
