The Grey Legend. Stars and Debutants

The Grey Legend was written 45 years ago. In September 2012, the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus opened its 80th jubilee season with the premiere of its new version. A grandiose performance of great national significance, a work written in the best traditions of the opera genre – the directors, critics and viewers gave such assessment to the premiere of the The Grey Legend. People called this production an opera about love for the Belarusian land and its people, noted the originality of composition, the poetry of language and the emotionality of sound. Classics of Belarusian art, Dmitry Smolsky (music) and Uladzimir Karatkevich (libretto), put their work and talent in it.

On 1 November, the People's Artist of Belarus Anastasia Moskvina will perform the role of Iryna. The Honoured Artist of the Republic Aksana Yakushevich will appear in the role of Lyubka. The leading male roles will feature the People's Artist Vladimir Gromov as Kizgaila, Honoured Artist of the Republic Oleg Melnikov as the Mercenary and Dmitry Shabetya as Roman.
