STARS WILL COME TO US!

GENERAL PARTNER

8th Minsk International Christmas Opera Forum traditionally ends with the grand gala concert. On 22 December the stars of the world opera, representatives of the 11 (!) countries will appear at the Bolshoi theatre of Belarus.

Real constellation of stars from Russia, artists, who are warmly welcomed by our audience for a long time, will land on the Belarusian stage. ‘... Sensation in the world of opera’, ‘Main discovery ... Bright, tremendous, shining soprano ...’All these words are about the magnificent Nadezhda Pavlova. The young soloist from Perm performs the lead roles in the biggest opera premieres and works with world famous conductors and directors; also she is the winner of the Golden Mask Theatrical Award and Stroganov Award. It is great that we can claim: ‘Nadezhda Pavlova is our singer, as she will appear on the Belarusian stage, which is almost native for her, not for the first time.’ The countertenor Andrey Nemzer won the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2012 and became the laureate of the Placido Domingo's Operalia competition in 2014. And then, at the 3rd Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition, he was awarded the first prize and tremendous ovation of the audience. We have no doubt that the audience also remembered the bass of Oleg Budaratsky, who was awarded special prize at the same 3rd Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition.

‘... His voice successfully combines ice and flame, virtuosity and immensity; and the power emphasizes the golden shade of the timbre ...’ The soloist of the National Opera of Ukraine, People’s Artist Igor Borko will delight the Belarusian audience with his unique, as the critics write, voice.

"... The singer is in the prime of life and theatrical talent. She has a rare voice - high mezzo-soprano, high and seductive, which combines the unconnected velvet and richness. Her voice excites, promising something extraordinary. It is a singer with mature and tart beauty. At the same time, she differs by her kindness and nobility, which is rarity in our time…" This is the words about the Honoured Artist of Moldova, soloist of the Maria Bieşu National Opera and Ballet Theatre Tatiana Busuioc, who appears as a real decoration of the evening of 22 December.

Also we will see and hear soloist of the Zakaria Paliashvili Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre, third prize winner at the 1st Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition Lasha Sesitashvili from Georgia.

Tigran Ohanyan will come from Armenia. He is the grand prize winner at the 3rd Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition, finalist of the "Grand Opera" show; also he repeatedly confirms the title of ‘the most promising young tenors’ on many competitions for opera singers.

The Honoured Artist of Azerbaijan Afag Abbasova and People’s Artist of Azerbaijan and Dagestan Azar Zeynalov will represent Azerbaijan. Our audience has already been able to commend the vocal skills of the singers who sang on the Belarusian stage. But the Honoured Artist of Azerbaijan Ilham Nazarov will perform in Minsk for the first time. All three artists are the real pride of the Azerbaijani State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. The star of the Sofia National Opera and Ballet Theatre Aleksandrina Stoyanova-Andreeva will represent Bulgaria on the opera firmament of the Christmas Forum. The forum also comprises representatives of other counties, such as: grand prize winner of the 29th International Opera Singing Competition of the Music Festival ‘Nuits Lyriques en Marmandais’ Hélène Carpentier (France), Viktorija Miškūnaitė (Lithuania, Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre), Hector Lopez Mendoza (Mexico), Beste Kalender (Canada).

And of course, we will see our winners of the IV Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition. The intrigue will be revealed on 20 December.

The Italian maestro Gianluca Marcianò (guest principal conductor of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus) and recipient of the Francysk Skaryna Medal Andrei Galanov will conduct.
