Oksana Volkova. Solo Album

The record label Delos has released Oksana Volkova’s solo album Poison d'Amour. The CD includes some of the most beautiful arias for mezzo-soprano from world-famous operas: Charles Gounod’s Sapho, Camille Saint-Saëns’ Samson et Dalila, Dmitry Smolsky's The Grey Legend, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's Sadko, George Bizet’s Carmen, Pietro Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana, etc. It was created in collaboration with Constantine Orbelian leading the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra. (Volkova has already participated in Delos’ projects. So, in 2017 this company created the recording of Verdi's Rigoletto, performed by the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Constantine Orbelian, where the title role was brilliantly sung by Dmitri Hvorostovsky.)

Music critics already write about Oksana Volkova's solo album. So, Rafael de Acha in his blog Music Notes emphasizes the technical and vocal skills of the singer, noting that she interprets the performed works in an interesting way. The critic does not hide his delight: ‘Oksana Volkova is a unique musician, special artist, and now she is at the top of her vocal abilities.’

We sincerely congratulate Oksana Volkova on her solo album! We wish her further success!
