Samson et Dalila. Third performance

On 14 December, Samson et Dalila, the story of Samson, a powerful warrior defeated by female wiliness, is the most famous opera by the French composer Camille Saint-Saëns appeared in the calendar of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus for the first time. The production will open the 11^th Minsk International Christmas Opera Forum.

The production team was headed by conductor Aleh Lessoun and director Oksana Volkova. The designers are the laureates of the Golden Mask Russian National Theatre Award Etel Ioshpa(sets and costumes) and Stas Svistunovich (lighting and video design). Etel and Stas have already worked with Volkova on her debut production Le Villi. Fatum. The chorus master is the People's Artist of Belarus Nina Lomanovich and choreographer Sergey Mikel.

On 25 January, Aleksey Mikutel and Aksana Yakushevich will perform the title roles for the first time. Dzianis Yantsevich will appear as the High Priest, Alexander Keda as the Old Hebrew, Vasily Kovalchuk as Abimélech, Vasily Mingalev and Alexander Krasnodubsky as the Philistines and Andrei Matyushonok as the Messenger. Aleh Lessoun will conduct.
