On 24 November, the Honoured Artist of the Republic of Buryatia, winner of the Golden Mask National Theatre Award, winner of international competitions Mikhail Pirogov will appear in the role of Calàf.
After music school in Ulan-Ude Mikhail studied at the St Petersburg Conservatory. He became a soloist of the Novosibirsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre in 2021. Previously, Pirogov performed at the Dmitri Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, Buryat Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre and Saratov Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, Mariinsky Theatre. His repertoire includes the roles of Cavaradossi in Tosca, Jose in Carmen, Vaudemont in Iolanta, Vladimir in Prince Igor, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Herman in The Queen of Spades, Manrico in Il trovatore, etc.
