At the 9th festival "Ballet Summer at the Bolshoi" we will see productions of the Voronezh and Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatres (Russia) for the first time. The programme will include The Toy Seller, Carmen.NEW, Harlequinade.NEW, The Little Scarlet Flower, The Legend of Love, as well as classical productions of the Belarusian Bolshoi: Swan Lake, Giselle and Don Quixote. The festival will culminated in a Gala concert of ballet stars on 16 June.

On 8 June, Alexey Shelygin’s The Toy Seller (choreography by the People's Artist of Russia Andrey Petrov) will open the festival. The production premiered at the Voronezh Opera and Ballet Theatre in the fall of 2020.

On 9 June, the ballet company of the Voronezh Theatre will perform two one–act productions: Harlequinade.NEW, Carmen.NEW.The production of 2019 (music be Alexei Aigui, choreograpy by Sofia Gaidukova) "Harlequinade.NEW" is "not about the love described once in novels, but about the love that is happening in life now. It's not about them, it's about you. And today, the things, that seemed funny to them, will make you cry..." Dance performance Carmen.NEW was presented to the public in 2022. Choreographer Sofia Gaidukova asks questions: ‘Why women kill or are being killed? Perhaps there is a piece of Carmen in each of us… But what made her do this to men? And men to her?..’. It is a performance of love and hate to Georges Bizet’s music based on Prosper Mérimée’s novel.

On 10 and 11 June, the company of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theatre will appear on the stage of the Belarusian Bolshoi. Vladimir Kuptsov's magic ballet The Little Scarlet Flower based on Sergei Aksakov's fairy tale will be performed on 10 June. A wonderful production for the whole family will tell the story of a merchant who loves his daughters and his youngest daughter Nastenka, who, for the salvation of her father, agrees to live in the monster's palace… The Russian version of the tale of beauty and the beast was staged on the Ufa stage. Composer Vladimir Kuptsov, choreograper Andrei Petrov and set designers  Grigory Belov and Olga Polyanskaya created an incredibly touching and picturesque musical performance.

On 11 June, we will see Yuri Grigorovich's choreography in Arif Melikov's ballet The Legend of Love. The production about the collision of unbridled passion and strength of mind, duty and love became the seventh production by Yuri Grigorovich on the stage of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theatre. Not every ballet company can embody this masterpiece of choreographic art, which requires the strongest performers, both from a technical and an acting point of view. That is why the idea to stage the production on the Ufa stage was cherished for many years and was realized after the staging of the most difficult Spartacus. Thus, The Legend of Love, recognized as the highest example of classical choreography, has been exciting the viewer with the depth of music, delighting with the nuances of direction, beauty and complexity of choreography for more than one year.
