The artists of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus (68 people) are going on tour in China. Our Symphony Orchestra will perform at 12 venues: Nanchang, Shanghai, Changsha, Quzhou, Yantai, Lishui, Shenyang, Harbin, Liaoyang, Dalian, Jinan, Wuhan. The programme includes music by Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Bizet, Rimsky-Korsakov, as well as Chinese composers. The programme will be decorated with Belarusian works: Waltz from Soltan’s King Stakh’s Wild Hunt and Simon Rack-Mikhailovsky’s Venus Star. Vladimir Ovodok will conduct. The opera soloists of the theatre, People's Artists of Belarus Anastasia Moskvina and Stanislav Trifonov will present a real feast of music to the audience of the Celestial Empire.

The history of tours of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus (both ballet and opera companies) to the People's Republic of China has a rich history that goes back more than one decade. The audience of the Celestial Empire applauded Belarusian Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty by Tchaikovsky, Spartacus by Khachaturian.
In 2013, a Memorandum of bilateral cooperation was signed between the Belarusian Bolshoi and one of the main musical theaters in China, the National Centre for the Performing Arts (Beijing). In October 2016, Bolshoi joined the Silk Road International League of Theatres.
Repeatedly, Belarusian soloists took part in concerts within the Days of Culture of the Republic of Belarus in the People's Republic of China.
The same year, Belarusian ballet dancers successfully participated in the 6th International Silk Road Arts Festival (Xi'an), presenting ballet master classes and concert programmes; as well as in the cultural programme within the Chinese International Import Expo in Shanghai.
In September 2023, the symphony orchestra and opera soloists of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus toured in China. The Honoured Worker of the Republic of Belarus Nikolai Koliadko conducted.
In October 2023, the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus took part in the China International Import Expo in Shanghai again.
In October 2023, the 9th International Silk Road Art Festival was held in the Chinese city of Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, where our ballet artists Anna Fokina and Yury Kavaliou also represented the art of ballet at various venues of the city.
