On Tuesday 27 December everybody tune to Russian Culture Chanel at 20:45 for the "Grand Opera" live broadcast from the Bolshoi of Russia!
For three months, we have unstopping followed the performances of the Belarusian tenor Yuri Gorodetsky. And here he is in the finals! Who will the audience name the winner? Will it be the winner of the Grand Prix of the third Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition Tigran Ohanyan from Armenia (tenor)? Or maybe, a talented soprano from the Saratov Conservatory , a student of Ksenia Nesterenko? Or a Belarusian tenor, the laureate of numerous international competitions Yury Gorodetsky? For us the answer is obvious! Will our opinion be the same as the ones of the viewers who will vote? All’s left to wait until Monday evening.
‘A great artist appeared on opera stage with an amazing taste and sense of harmony – Yuri Gorodetsky!’
‘That's crazy! Yuri is so manifold! Each performance is indeed a fully developed image. His Nemorino is so genuine, Prince Vladimir is convincing. In Korolki he is all tragedy and in Tarantella is so arousing, in Birches is full of bright sadness... I regret only one thing – I never heard him ‘live’.’
‘I never thought I could let someone be compared to my beloved Lemeshev, but love to hear Yuri sing even more! I have his Nemorino, Vladimir and Vakula in my phone. I wish you victory and a long successful career!’
‘Great! Standing ovation in front of the screen! Again and again I love it!’
‘Yuri, I was keeping my fingers crossed for you and anxiously awaiting for your second performance. Amazing! Brilliant! I shouted "Bravo" on the other side of the screen!"
"Yuri finds pleasure in singing himself giving joy to the audience! It’ a bundle of joy! Wonderful experienced artist."
"Gorodetsky is one of the few performers with the voice and execution of Lemeshev and Kozlovsky caliber who doesn’t simply show off his beautiful voice..."
‘Bravo, Yuri! Thank You for Your talent!’
All of these reviews are the words of viewers who are participants of the official group of the TV project ‘Grand Opera’ and the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus "Vkontakte". And this is only a small part of Yuri’s admirers. Without a doubt, such words are very flattering for any good artist. Hopefully they will help him to perform exceedingly well – though, as always. By the way, to hear Gorodetsky "live" will be possible at the Gala concert of the Bolshoi theatre of Belarus this December.
We congratulate Yury Gorodetsky on making it to the final of the TV project "Grand Opera"! Whether the Belarusian tenor wins – we’ll find out on Monday evening of 27 December on Russia Culture channel live from the Bolshoi theatre of Russia. Tune on, watch, cheer, vote!..
