Night of love and miracles

On 14 February, Valentine's Day, the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus gives a real fete to all its devotees. Starting from 18:15 the sounds of bagpipes, drums, flutes, violins and even the bouzouki will resound in the foyer of the theatre played by audiences’ favourite folk group HardWood.

By the way, you will not only have the opportunity to hear the music that will make you travel in the past, but also... dance! Yes! The Soleil theater will teach medieval dances.

The evening will be highlighted y a unique event: a one-day exhibition. This time the audience will see the Belynichi  Icon of the Mother of God. The director of the Museum of Ancient Belarusian Culture Boris Lazuko will open the exhibition and tell the extremely interesting history of this miraculous icon and answer all the questions.

At 19:00 in the Big Hall of the theatre the story of love that lives for centuries thanks to the two Belarussian classics, the writer Vladimir Korotkevich and the composer Dmitry Smolsky opera Grey Legend will unfold. The main roles are performed by soloists Ekaterina Golovleva (Irina), Aleksey Mikutel (novel), Vladimir Gromov (Kishiro), Kriskentia Stasenko (Lyubka), Oleg Melnikov (Hireling). The conductor is Andrey Ivanov.
