Irina Eromkina. Award Nominee

  

The People's Artist of Belarus leading ballerina of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus Irina Eromkina has been nominated for the Union State Prize in the field of literature and art 2021/2022. The prima ballerina was nominated for this award for the lead roles in the productions Anastasia by Vyacheslav Kuznetsov staged by Yury Trayan, Anna Karenina to Pyotr Tchaikovsky's musicstaged by Olga Kostel and The Creation of the World (the role of Eva) by Andrey Petrov in the production of Valentin Elizariev.

 

"I can talk about my profession – ballet and about my children endlessly, because this is my life," said Irina Eromkina. Since 1997, she has passed a difficult artistic path – from a corps de ballet artist to a soloist and a leading master of the stage – and now there are about 40 different roles in the repertoire of the People's Artist: Odette/Odile, Isolde, Sylphide, Carmen, Phrygia, Masha, Rogneda, Cinderella, Anyuta, Eva, Anastasia, Juliet and many others.

 

Irina is the winner of the National Theatre Award in 2018 for the role of Baijan in Love and Death to Polad Bülbüloğlu’s music staged by Olga Kostel. Also in 2019 the ballerina won the contest "Person of the Year in the Field of Culture" in the nomination "Choreographic Art".

 

But Irina is not compecent: every evening she continues to delight the audience with her talent on the native stage of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus.
