On 4 January 2022, Catherine Doulova was appointed general director of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus. Today the Minister of Culture of our republic Anatoly Markevich introduced her to the theatre team.
‘It is a great honour to head a team that I have known since childhood… The status of the Bolshoi Theatre has always been extremely high. I wish we continue to do our work bright, interesting, productive and creative. I will do my best for this. After all, I came here to serve,’ Ekaterina Dulova addressed the team.
Catherine Doulova replaced Viachaslau Harbuzau, who headed the Bolshoi since May 2021. Prior to this appointment, Catherine Doulova held the position of the rector of the Belarusian State Academy of Music for 11 years.
